U.S. Space Force Brig. Gen. Dennis Bythewood, Joint Task Force-Space Defense commander, speaks with Qatari Maj. Gen. Abdulaziz Al Doseri, Advisor to Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs for Space and Telecommunications, during a visit to the JTF-SD’s Commercial Operations Cell (JCO) in Colorado Springs, Colo., July 14, 2023. While visiting the JCO, the Qatari delegation observed one of the JCO’s Sprint Advanced Concept Trainings (SACT). SACT exercises are designed to improve collaboration between USSPACECOM and its components, allied and partner nation space enterprises, and the commercial space industry. The JCO is an extension of the National Space Defense Center operations floor, and it leverages commercial providers to provide diverse, timely Space Domain Awareness in direct support of the NSDC’s core protect and defend mission.
