JTF-SD celebrates Army's 246th birthday

SCHRIEVER AFB, Colo. - Brig. Gen. Tom James, Joint Task Force-Space Defense commander, left, and Army Staff Sgt. Justice Morales, JTF-SD targets division member, right, cut the cake with a sword during the unit's celebration of the Army's 246th birthday June 11, 2021 at Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado. James and Morales, the most senior and junior Army members of the organization respectively, shared sentiments of why they chose to serve in the Army who's birthday is actually June 14. Morales joined to "not be a liability" to his family. "What I've found in my eight years of service (with the Army) is everyone is willing to give you advice to help you be a better Soldier and person.
