SECAF visits NSDC, DEL 15

Space Delta 15 and National Space Defense Center leaders host Secretary of the Air Force Troy E. Meink at Schriever Space Force Base, Colo., May 28, 2025. During the visit, Meink received a mission brief and a tour of the operations floor. DEL 15 is the USSF’s command and control unit within U.S. Space Forces-Space, supporting U.S. Space Command and Combined Joint Force Space Component Commander (C/JFSCC) in executing the NSDC’s protect-and-defend mission. DEL 15 integrates Space Battle Management, intelligence, and cyber capabilities to enable operational command and control of assigned forces. The NSDC, backed by the DoD and Intelligence Community, enhances U.S. space threat detection and defense while fostering unity of effort and information sharing among the DoD, National Reconnaissance Office, and interagency partners.
