S4S Hosts Senate Armed Services Committee members at NSDC

Tina Timmerman, S4S Command Senior Enlisted Leader, hosted Dr. Jon Epstein, Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) professional staff member (PSM), and Ms. Kristina Belcourt, SASC PSM, at the National Space Defense Center (NSDC), Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado, Oct. 21, 2024. S4S ensures safety of spaceflight, return of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-8

U.S. Space Forces – Space (S4S) supports NASA human space flight by planning, integrating, executing, and assessing space operations, providing continuous space situational awareness monitoring for the International Space Station and visiting spacecraft. The ability to detect, track, and identify space objects in near real-time provides unique space domain awareness that ensures safety of humans in space and understanding for the United States Space Command Area of Operations. Additionally, S4S provides conjunction analysis and potential collision notifications to NASA and other satellite owner-operators.

JCO TacSRT support to Hurricane Helene recovery efforts

In support of Hurricane Helene relief effort, the Tactical Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Tracking team assigned to U.S. Space Forces – Space Joint Commercial Operations cell, provided imagery analysis to U.S. Northern Command Oct. 3-5, 2024, of road closures, road conditions, and bridges on ground routes between Knoxville, Tennessee, and Asheville, North Carolina.

NSDC hosts CORONA Space Immersion Day participants

Danish Defence Attaché visits the JCO

Derreck Potter, 15th Cyberspace Operations Squadron weapons and tactics flight commander, speak with students at the STARBASE Academy at Peterson Space Force Base, Colo., Sept. 20, 2024. Garcia and Potter spoke with fifth grade students about their respective missions within the U.S. Space Force. The Department of Defense STARBASE’s primary focus is providing fifth graders an introduction to fundamental concepts in STEM to inspire early interest in STEM careers and build a diverse, skilled workforce essential for innovation.
