COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Royal Canadian Air Force Maj. Gen. Kyle C. Paul, U.S. Space Command’s Combined Joint Force Space Component deputy commander, visited Colorado Springs, Colorado, Aug. 25–27, 2026, to engage with Missile Warning Center operators and participate in the National Defense Industrial Association’s 2026 Space Warfighter Forum.
During a senior leader immersion tour at Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station, Colorado, Paul met with Missile Warning Center leadership and the joint, civilian, and allied personnel who execute the center’s 24/7 global missile warning mission. The visit provided Paul a firsthand look at how the MWC incorporates space-based and terrestrial sensor data to detect, track, and characterize potential missile threats; perform threat validation; and deliver accurate, timely attack information to national leaders, allied partners, and combatant commanders.
Paul also joined fellow component leaders from the Navy and Army during a Space Warfighter Forum panel focused on the importance of commercial capabilities and strong partnerships. The engagements reflected U.S. Space Command’s 2026 “Year of Integration” and reinforced how collaboration among the Joint Force, allies, industry, and academia strengthens the ability to Protect, Defend, Deliver, and Connect the space capabilities the Joint Force relies on every day.
