S4S command team visits Colorado's Front Range

U.S. Space Force Lt. Gen. Dennis Bythewood, U.S. Space Forces-Space (S4S) commander and Combined Joint Force Space Component commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Tina Timmerman, S4S command senior enlisted leader, visited Guardians across the Front Range in Colo., Jan. 26, 2026. During the immersions, they received briefings, toured facilities and held a town hall to address combat squadron leaders.

The visits were part of the S4S command team’s efforts to visit Guardians at several component locations across the country over a three-week period, including at Schriever SFB, the Missile Warning Center and the 1st Space Brigade in Colo.

The mission of the NSDC, S4S’s component at Schriever SFB, is to execute command and control of space forces to gain and maintain space superiority.

The mission of the MWC is to monitor, detect, and disseminate real-time missile warning data to U.S. combatant commands and coalition partners.
