S4S Commander Presents Annual Awards to NSDC Members
U.S. Space Force Lt. Gen. Douglas A. Schiess, center, U.S. Space Forces - Space (S4S) commander and the Combined Joint Force Space Component commander, presents a U.S. Space Command 2023 Service Component Annual Award to the National Space Defense Center’s Intelligence Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Integrations Team at Schriever Space Force Base, Colo., May 30, 2024. The NSDC’s ISR Integrations Team received the Innovation Award, successfully capturing operational Command and Control and Intelligence Surveillance needs for S4S and USSPACECOM, enhancing warfighting readiness, paving the way for decisive space operations, and furthering the mission of S4S and USSPACECOM. The NSDC is one of five operations centers for U.S. Space Forces - Space. The S4S mission is to plan, integrate, conduct, and assess global space operations in order to deliver combat relevant space effects, in, from, and to space, for Combatant Commanders, Coalition partners, the Joint Force, and the Nation.
