The 18th Space Defense Squadron and U.S. Space Forces - Space welcomed U.S. Space Force’s Assistant Chief of Space Operations for Future Concepts and Partnerships, Royal Air Force Air Marshal Paul Godfrey, to Vandenberg Space Force Base, Calif., March 26, 2025.

During the time at the 18 SDS, Air Marshal Godfrey received an operations floor tour, a Space Delta 2 mission brief and a SDA Partnership and Coalition Engagement (SPACE) Office overview. S4S provided a mission brief and a Combined Space Operations Center tour led by Space Delta 5 leadership.

Air Marshal Godfrey also led a luncheon attended by numerous Exchange Officers and Liaison Officers from seven different countries; Australia, Canada, Italy, Japan, Spain, the U.K., and U.S.

Assuming the role of ACSO last July, Air Marshal Godfrey is responsible for integrating allies and partners with the USSF’s capability development strategy. This visited allowed for discussion on shaping the future of space operations, harnessing collaborative power through the CSpO and addressing the unique challenges each nation faces in the space domain.
